I am ready to serve your needs as either a psychotherapist or a workplace coach. I hold a PhD and MSW in social work and an MA in Education and Human Resources. I proudly served my country as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service for 30 years holding a variety of leadership and management positions. I also had over 20 years of experience as a part time therapist and I am now devoting my full time to psychotherapy and coaching. I have a strong foundation in human behavior and systems theory coupled with solid professional ethics. I am a graduate of the Federal Senior Executive Service (SES) program and hold a Certificate in Strategic Intervention Coaching through the Robbins-Madanes Center. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland and in the District of Columbia and have a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (DCSW).
I enjoy working with both new and seasoned managers who are encountering challenges in the fast paced workplace and employees who are struggling with the daily demands of an erratic bureaucracy and problematic boss. I help my clients to strategically examine the situation and to develop long and short term plans to tackle the issues.
Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other approaches, I help clients to shed their old shoes (negative habits) and to walk in new shoes that promise to feel better on their feet and are more fun to wear!! (new habits)
