About Dr. Ashery
Dr. Ashery is ready to serve your needs as a psychotherapist. She holds a PhD and MSW in social work and an MA in Education and Human Resources. She proudly served her country as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service for 30 years holding a variety of leadership and management positions. She also had over 20 years of experience as a part time therapist and she is now devoting her time to psychotherapy. She has a strong foundation in human behavior and systems theory coupled with solid professional ethics. She is a graduate of the Federal Senior Executive Service (SES) program. Dr. Ashery is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland and in the District of Columbia and has a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (DCSW).
She helps her clients to strategically examine the situation and to develop long and short term plans to tackle the issues. She helps clients to shed their old shoes (negative habits) and to walk in new shoes that promise to feel better on their feet and are more fun to wear!! (new habits)
